Bermuda Trio Compete in America East Championships


The UMBC Women's Track and Field team moved up three spots to place fifth out of nine teams with 87 points at the 2024 America East Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held this past weekend at UMBC Stadium.

Junior Caitlyn Bobb won the Girls 400 meters, crossing the finish line in 54.17, a season-best result.

The UMBC Women's 4x100 Meter Relay team, comprising freshman junior Za'Kayza Parsons, junior Tori Bulford-Trott, and Bobb, showcased their speed and coordination, clinching a Bronze Medaledal with a solid time of 46.45.

The UMBC Women's 4x400 Meter Relay cruised to Gold as they dusted the field by over three seconds, finishing with a season-best 3:42.12. Leanne McDonald, Genelle Stephens, sophomore Shannel Sibblies, and Bobb finished with the 84th fastest time in the nation this spring.
